Being born in Munich, growing up in Canada and the United States and now living in Hong Kong, German photographer Michael Wolf is fascinated by his surroundings and contemporary life in big cities. After capturing the architectural density of his adoptive hometown and claustrophobic images of public transport passengers, Wolf now offers a different view on Paris. His series „paris roof tops“ avoids all the clichés connected to the „city of lights“ and instead features geometric patterns and muted colours in the distinctive looks of the French capital’s buildings.
Atypical: Series of posters by Pawel Nolbert, exploring form and rhythm of letters or pseudo-letters presented as half-realistic, half-illustrative figurative sculptures. The artworks were built from an elaborate artistic painterly gestures into expressive arrangements – extending the aesthetic characteristic of typography.

"A Clockwork Orange broaches the issue of the freedom of the individual by using the protagonist Alex. The recipient accompanies Alex through the plot and takes his point of view. He senses whenever Alex acts in a state of free will and he senses whenever Alexs free will is limited. Furthermore in some passages he takes a point of view above Alex as a spectator.
The notices being made in this position are arranged in a subtle visual and typographical staging. The recipient is being tricked. He thinks to be in full control about his way of reading. In fact the typographical staging has control about the recipient and guides him in one’s sole discretion.”
